BREAK THE TABOO
Oh! I beg you not to consider me a curse- I am here to bless as my life is already cursed. I am not a demon just born with some other factors or interests which do not match the norms of society.
I wish I could tell you about the life I was born to. The mother who brought me to this world never sang a lullaby to me, the father who's so-called "Princess" I was, he never held my hand. Life isn't that simple when you don't fit into the norms by the society that are deemed normal, and it's hard to be accepted.
With the Personal Survey, it has been concluded that about 5% of the people are still not aware of what exactly is LGBTQ, and then 30% ignore the fact of even its existence. People are Curse for even just talking about it, but wait! What exactly is the real scenario?
In a survey and interview, which was conducted on social media and video calls, the first question raised was:
1) Did LGBTQ existed years ago? Around 500 or 1000 years back.
An interviewee answered- "See, ancient India had images and temples where there were images related to people from the LGBTQ community... Besides, our ancient scriptures like Mahabharata had mentioned people like Shikhandi who belonged to the LGBTQ community. It clearly shows that ancient India was progressive enough to accommodate and accept them into their society showing that we were quite progressive related to LGBTQ culture".
Yes, the existence of the culture is depicted, in various sculptures, statues, or also if you talk about Hinduism then turn the pages of your famous mythologies: Mahabharata, Ramayana, and many more.
While the interview was going on, one of the members stated, " it's all a new age thinking, just a matter of being in the limelight ".
So the second question that arises:
2) Is it a fake mentality, about LGBTQ of the 20's world's young adults?
The direct answer is NO. No, it's not a fake mentality of today's generation. An upcoming book Shortly is a live example which is the collection of 100 love letters shared between two gay soldiers during world war 1, and dear ones, yes I am talking about a century ago.
Dear world,
It's not a complaint, but a request, we may belong to different communities, but we all together are linked to something similar that is Mankind. You are men and women, we are not aliens we are also the third gender, and there is nothing to feel shy about clicking on the option third gender. But we do get disheartened when there isn't any option left but to click on prefer not to say. We feel Proud to click on the community we belong with, the gender we are, but this feels sad when you say it's always men and women and nothing else.
WE PREFER TO SAY, and WE WANT TO BE ACCEPTED AND NOT BANISHED.
From our world to yours,
