PARCEL

Brown color carton box kept on the floor,  in the middle of the dining hall, dad was applying tape and packing it. " Kuch aur rakhna hai?" he asked. Lost in my world, I ignored him, and he kept on packing the carton. Gamini, "Address kya hai?" he asked again, still not receiving any reply, he loudly asked, "Are Bhai! Address kya hai? What is the address gamu? Suddenly experiencing goosebumps all over my body, shocked, stammering, and in a nervous tone, I replied, "Wo! Wo! Umm aap rhny do main khud likh lungi" ( you leave it, I will write it on my own).

Walking towards that box, a projector switched on in my brain of all the lies he told me, all the nights I was broke. Sitting down unpacking the tape, I keep a letter inside the box. I tried to hide it, but Dad knew what I was up to, so I reapplied the tape and stared at the box.

The letter said:

Dear Boy-Friend Ex-Boyfriend

Hi, I know I am no more the part of the forever journey you promised me, but I am happy I was part of your truths and not the lies. I am mailing this box packed with all your gifts, parcels, and memories. You can give this to anyone you feel like or even throw them away like my trust. With these, I have packed your Yellow t-shirt which you wore to the bed, and I stole it the next morning. Thank you for making me hate teddy bears. I no more wish to carry them to my bed. I am packing your toy because even after three years, it still smells like you. I am packing the blue top that I wore to our first date and the one you admired the most because it keeps reminding me of all the fake promises you committed and forgot. I haven't washed your favorite blue kurta because it has the fragrance of the day we committed for long-distance, and I kept it as a memory of you claiming to "until we meet again" which eventually we won't.

This parcel has a bunch of photographs which you sent me on our anniversary- of cropping the heads and pasting our heads into someone else's photograph claiming it would be us in future. With these there is a brown folder with a chip and some letters, a few are mine to you (I once wrote them for your birthday which was in 5 days) and some are the ones you sent me.

I am just sending them all, not out of ANGER or anything. Yes, I neither want to keep these with me anymore, nor I dare to throw these. Just want to keep these AWAY from Me.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh! I forgot to add that it also contains all my leftover feelings for you and some wishes for your happy future. I wish you to keep your current girl happy and plead that you never betray her. After showing what living is about, don't curse her life to live with death every second.

From yours B**** someone who just died for you.

"Address likh rhi hai yah bna rhi hai?"- a familiar voice interrupted my thoughts or maybe my numbness. A tear shed from the left eye. Quickly wiping it off, I simultaneously stood up and said, "Ho gya papa, lay jao"- timidly. It felt like I packed a part of me. Dad was still in the dark about what was happening, but without asking even a single word, he lifted the parcel, kissed my forehead and hugged me tightly from his right arm, and turned towards the gate, while he was instructing me to stay inside and not going out till he is back he later added "JA HE RHA HAI TOH SAB KUCH BHEJ DO, especially THE HURT!" and quickly he left.

That broke me a little, but I smiled, irresistible tears rolling down my eye, especially, from the left one. I took a deep breath and nodded my head.

While entering, I read a sticky note on the gate of my room saying, "LET IT ALL GO, ALL AT ONCE- HERO".

Ps- each and every word of this blog is an imagination, nothing to do with a real world especially my or anyone known closely's life. Any incident matching is purely a coincidence ❤️

Gami, what a masterpiece, what a beauty!
Oh my goodness, I still am not able to get my thoughts across, they're just tangled with emotions and standing still in appreciation for what miracles you can do with your words. Each word was felt and experienced!πŸ’™πŸŒΉ
